A prototype software, to be deployed as part of a controlled academic study. The purpose is new form of social welfare scheme, intended for developing countries. In the scheme, participants will be paid to engage with learning activities on their mobile device.

The app is designed for use in a Kiosk mode environment where users do not have access to the device's settings app. The app will be able to handle intermittent, temporary data outages; the type expected in areas with weaker mobile data coverage, but will not work fully without internet access.

##App features

###Login screen

Here admins can log in users with their user ID and using the administrator password.

###Register screen

Here admins can register new users. Users require a name, mobile number for their associated phone, mobile number for sending payment (can be same as other number), and admins specify if they are in the control group.

###Admin search screen

Activity where admins can search for users by username and view their progress, log them in, or launch wifi settings. The idea being that if a user needs to re-access their account but doesn't know their user ID, the admin can log in on the user's device.

###Progress screen

Shows some usage statistics for the selected user. Accessible only by admins. Allows admins to update the user's task set.

###Fingerprint screen

Users must put a device registered fingerprint on the sensor.

###Task screen

User is delivered multiple learning tasks to fill a task cache. Tasks are selected based on highest average time to complete the task. i.e. multiple rapid completions of a task imply a mastery, so the task will not be favoured for selection. Tasks involve playing an audio file for a letter, which the user must match with the corresponding symbol.

###Activity check and fingerprint scanner

Puts a button in a random position on the screen, on pressing the user is taken to another fingerprint screen. Scanning a valid fingerprint takes the user back to the task screen.

###Time out screen

Shown to the user outside of working hours, which are Monday - Friday 9am-5pm. Also shown when the user has reached the daily balance limit.
