Basic Facts for Leaders from the BOYS' BRIGADE NORTHERN IRELAND DISABILITY NETWORK
The Boys' Brigade is a Christian Youth Organisation that works with thousands of young people on a week by week basis. Today we are working with over 16,000 young people in around 300 companies or groups throughout Northern Ireland.
The Boys' Brigade provides a balanced programme of activities for children and young people from 5 to 18 years old. These resources have been developed to help volunteer youth leaders work in a relevant and creative way. We hope that through these programmes they will be able to make a positive contribution to a young person's life and be able to share their faith.
Under the leadership of Mr Colin Millar who heads up our Disability Network Team, we have created information to assist Leaders in providing help for young people with special needs, providing an inclusive environment for all young people. Recognising that each boy is unique, it is important to speak to his parent/carer to gain relevant individual information.
Whilst every care has been taken to provide up to date and accurate information at time of publication, The Boys’ Brigade have provided this app for general information purposes only as an overview. If further information is required, it should be sought from experts in that particular field.
