1. You collect animal cards by navigating to specific locations in nature reserves. Through a map in the game you can discover the nearest animal cards. If you come within 150 feet of such a location, you can collect the animal card. The nice thing is that the animals that you collect the cards of, actually live in the area where you collect the cards.

2. If you are not near a nature reserve, you can still collect animal cards by just going for a walk outside. For every kilometer you walk you will receive an animal card, up to 5 per day. This way you stay fit and your collection grows quickly.

If you collect multiple cards from the same animal, you can use them to 'upgrade' the card. You can eventually upgrade every animal card to 5 stars.
