মহানবী (সা:) এর শ্রেষ্ঠ বাণী হাদিস নামে পরিচিত। এই হাদিস মূলত আরবি শব্দ যা অতীত বর্তমান এবং ভবিষ্যৎ সম্পর্কিত। হযরত মুহাম্মাদ (স) এর পূর্ণাঙ্গ ও বিস্তারিত জীবনী থেকে সংগৃহীত মহানবীর বানী গুলো গ্রন্থ আকারে সর্বপ্রথম প্রকাশ করেন ইমাম বুখারী(রঃ) যা বুখারী শরীফ নামে পরিচিত। নবীজির নামাজ পড়ার নিয়ম তার ধ্যান ও সাধনা তাঁর বানীগুলোতে প্রতিফলিত হয়েছে। নবী সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়া সাল্লামের সময় থেকে, গল্প ও সব ধরনের যোগাযোগের উপর তাঁর আধিপত্য ছিল। ফলস্বরূপ, হাদীস শব্দটির প্রায় এককভাবে ব্যবহার করা শুরু করে যা তার কর্ম ও বাক্যে কথা বলে। নবীজির প্রকৃত উম্মত হিসেবে নিজেকে গড়ে তুলতে কোরআন শরীফের পাশাপাশি নবীজির সুন্নত ও বানী অনুসরণ করা আবশ্যক। প্রকৃতপক্ষে প্রাথমিক অবস্থায় সম্পূর্ণ হাদিস গ্রন্থ মনে রাখা সম্ভব না হলেও রাসূলুল্লাহ(সা:) ৪০টি উপদেশ দিয়ে এর যাত্রা শুরু করা যায়।





The two fundamental sources of knowledge about Islam are the Quran and Hadis. Among the Hadith, 40 hadis of Prophet Muhammad (s) are very important. Many Muslims only associate Islam with the teachings of the Qur'an, but the concept of neglecting the Sunnah and Hadith of the Prophet has proved to be a mistake. Allah Almighty in Quran has encouraged the establishment of peace and has told the followers of Islam to be moderate in their behavior and adopt the qualities of kindness, love, and respect for others. The Prophet’s sayings and nobijir sunnat were primarily based on revelation from Allah (One True God) and, as such, must be considered a fundamental source of guidance along with Qur’an. Therefore, the Hadis of Hazrat Muhammad (phuh) represents a personal source of divine guidance which Allah granted His Prophet (pbuh) which was similar in its nature to the Qur’an itself.
